Heru(History-The
Essence
of Reason
and Unity)
is an organization dedicated to the preservation and
accurate dissemination of history, exploits, philosophy,
origins and concepts. Our mission is to eliminate prejudices,
ignorance and intolerance while broadening our perspectives
on world issues and expanding the knowledge and awareness
of current and future generations.
Heru>>>Who we are
Heru is an organization that consists of individuals who are united in seeking to eradicate widespread historical myths and distortions. Its members range from dedicated historians to simply individuals who possess an interest in learning the truth.
Rodney Davis founded the organization. His creation was largely inspired through careful meditation while in pursuit of historical facts. He was also influenced by his participation in the unforgettable Million Man March as well as his travel and study in Kemet (Egypt). His intent, therefore, is to teach others to value history as the essence of reason and to embrace it as a stimulant for right thinking and appropriate behavior.
After reading the Legendary Dr. Carter G. Woodson's book, "The Mis-education of the Negro," you should realize that in spite of our various fields or levels of education, we all have one thing in common, i.e., education by the very people who have written us out of our own history.
Dr. Woodson says, "that when you control a man's thinking you do not have to worry about his actions. You do not have to tell him to stand here or go yonder. He will find his 'proper place' and will stay in it. You do not need to send him to the back door. He will go without being told. In fact, if there is no back door, he will cut one for his special benefit. His education makes it necessary."
